(Note: This class requires the students to bring an appropriate sword for bellydancing. If you would like to borrow one, please email your request to auroradanceproductions@gmail.com since there is a limited amount of practice swords that can be borrowed.)
WORKSHOP TIMES: 9:45am to 5:00pm, with a break for lunch.
This workshop will teach the following:
1) A 3-4 minute choreography with a music CD and a written choreography;
2) How to Pick Music Suitable for Sword Dances
3) How to Pick the Sword
4) How to Care for a Sword
5) How to Dance with a Sword (including how to handle it to prevent injuries)
6) Techniques to Maintain the Mystery and "WOW" illusion of Danger
7) Writing Choreography for Sword.
